Creating Flexible Filters in Aspire EDU
Key Steps
1. Accessing Flexible Filters 0:33
- Ensure you are logged in as an Access Manager Admin in Dropout Detective or Grade Guardian.
- Click on your name in the top right corner to access the settings option.
2. Navigating to Flexible Filters 1:02
- In the settings page, locate the tab labeled 'Flexible Filters'.
- If this is your first time, the page will be blank.
3. Creating a New Filter 1:16
- Click the blue button labeled 'Create Filter'.
- Fill in the filter name and description (optional).
- Set the criteria for your filter (e.g., risk score of at least 70 and no notes documented for more than 5 days).

- Once you are satisfied with the criteria, click 'Save'.
- Your new filter will now be visible in the list.
5. Editing an Existing Filter 3:02
- To change the filter name or description, select the filter and make your adjustments.
- Click 'Save' to update the filter.

- If you no longer need a filter, select it and choose the delete option.

- Use the 'Show Defaults' option to view all default filters available for users.

- For Canvas schools, click 'Show Sub-Account Filters' to view filters created under sub-accounts.

- To download filters, select the option to export to a CSV file.
- To upload filters, choose your CSV file and click 'Upload'.

Cautionary Notes
- Ensure you have the necessary permissions as an Access Manager Admin to create and manage filters.
- Please be careful when deleting filters, since this action cannot be undone.

- Regularly review and update your filters to ensure they meet current needs.
- Use the import/export feature to make bulk changes and save time.
